GHANA TOGO MISSIONS WITH THE 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TEAM REPORT
Brother Charles had reported the following:
” I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow” (1 Corinthians 3:6, NIV).
During our work last month in Ghana and Togo, we spent 5 days in the communities near Nkwanta in the Oti Region of Ghana. God blessed the work with about 180 baptisms and 8 new congregations of the Lord’s church planted there.
Since it’s our practice to win the lost and train the saved to win the lost, or make disciples who make other disciples, we have been monitoring their progress from afar after we returned, and keep encouraging Brother Charles Gmanprong who has been grooming them as our disciple on the ground. He has reported their average attendance for the past 3 weeks as follows:
Pawa Church of Christ - 52
Dawa Church of Christ - 30
Kpapu Akora Church - 12
Nyabojunction Church - 15
Agou Fie Church of Christ - 40
Highway Church of Christ - 29
Abrewanko Church of Christ - 23
The brethren at Abrewankor Junction have joined those in Abrewanko for now due to proximity and lack of leaders.
To solidify the work in the area, the 4 Fields Discipleship and Church Multiplication Training was held for the preachers and leaders of the area from October 14-16, 2024. Leaders were also identified and selected from the newly planted congregations for a separate training at Bonakye (October 17-18) on how to lead these new congregations in the absence of a preacher and the need to follow sound biblical doctrines.
The 4 Fields Discipleship Training at Nkwanta had 38 participants from 20 congregations. The Training for the newly planted churches also had 12 participants from the 7 congregations. Trainers were Brothers Eric Degraft-Otu from Accra, Godwin Senanu from Ho. They were assisted by Brothers Alex Malo and Charles Gmanprong from Nkwanta and Bonakye respectively.
Thank God for all involved in one way or the other, and please continue praying for more harvest to His glory .
