ZAMBIAN 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TRAINING AT KATAPAZI CHURCH OF CHRIST
Amen, Walter Chunga has reported the following
“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” - Philippians 4:13
Grace and peace to you all who pray for us and the work here in Zambia! We always thank God for you.
Receiving an invitation from Katapazi Church of Christ in Kazungula District of Southern Province was a wonderful honor and a rare opportunity. This invitation came while we were training the Makoli Congregation in Makoli. They invited us to train them so that they could evangelize the vast area of Katapazi and its surrounding areas, e.g. Makamisa, Lubinda, Muncheke, Kabanana, Siloozi, Mpola, Siambelele, Silubaya, Siazyombo, Siaziili, Mapande, and Sinamfu.
God be praised! At Katapazi Congregation, we were able to conduct a Four Fields Discipleship Multiplication Training. I was accompanied by Teddy Kaingu and Adas Mungala, our new timothy. The attendance was good. 64 people attended; 25 males, 29 women, and 10 children (the ages of children ranged from 8 to 14 years). The interest shown by the Katapazi congregation was so amazing and beautiful. As we trained them, we noticed that their desire to learn grew even stronger — the participants were more interested in the 4 Fields tools. The introduction, outline, Big Vision, and tools 1–4 were well covered. The participants, both men, and women did a fantastic job, and all the sessions were participatory.
As we wrapped up the training, they requested we return soon to finish the remaining tools. We prayed with them and asked them to pray for us, so the work might continue. It is worthwhile to say that working with the Church of Christ at Katapazi was a rewarding assignment.
We are grateful to God for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve at the Katapazi Church of Christ. We also want to express our gratitude to Brother George Funk and the Gospel Chariot/Gospel Share Missions for making it possible for us to train the Katapazi Congregation.
Be blessed!
