WEST AFRICA 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP AND CHURCH MULTIPLICATION TRAINING RETREAT REPORT

WEST AFRICA 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP AND CHURCH MULTIPLICATION TRAINING RETREAT REPORT

Brother Charles had previously reported the following:

The month of November, as usual, gave us the opportunity to once again retreat from the chaotic world and regroup, reunite, reevaluate, rejuvenate, restrategize, and relaunch into action for 2025. Our aim has always been to win the Lost and train the Saved to win the Lost, in obedience to the Master - Matthew 28:18-20.

From November 19-22, 2024, trainers from:

1. Ghana

2. Togo

3. Nigeria

4. Senegal

5. Liberia and

6. Ivory Coast ,

gathered at the highest habitatable point of Ghana - Abetifi, for the 4-days retreat.

The Ghana Togo teams alone had shared the gospel with tens of thousands of people; trained over 2,000; started and sustained over 100 new congregations; equipped over 30 new trainers; restored over 600 back into the faith and baptized over 3,000 by the grace of God. This is not to mention the work of the Ivory Coast teams, Liberia , Senegal , Nigeria and others. Though Mauritania and Sierra Leone did not attend in-person, they sent their report to be captured as part of the West African team work.

Also in attendance were the Continental Missions Network (CMN), World Bible School (WBS), Gospel Chariot Missions (GCM), West African Living Kingdom (WALK), and Gospel Share Missions (GSM) - the organizers. “We don’t compete, we complete” has always been the tagline of George Funk, and it’s so beautiful to serve the Master together in the kingdom.

We are looking forward to 2025 with hope for the lost world as we have resolved to even do more to win the lost and train the saved to win the lost, using small groups and Discovery Bible Study Method to enter homes. We also look forward to having new partners and support more communities across the globe. We committed these to prayer, shared fellowship, exchanged ideas, listened to a beautiful and encouraging sermon from Dr. Douglas Akuamoah Boateng (our host). Dr George Akpabli highlighted the importance of the small groups initiative as the fastest way in multiplying churches, while Charles Odoi took the gathering through the Discovery Bible Study method with the SWORD principle. Our Wives who have become a formidable force, helping women groups to thrive in their ministry, also evaluated their work in the past year and shared their resolve to do more in the coming years.

Participants took turns to share their take aways from the retreat. Most of them indicated that they were fired up spiritually and can’t wait to join us again next year. Another resolution from the Ghana and Togo teams was to visit group leaders in various areas and take them through the small group meetings and the Sword Method. Senegal and other countries also spoke of the need to do same.

Shalom and peace be with you as you keep us in prayer always!

This is really great and encouraging West African Brethren. Amen and praise God , keep it up for Jesus ! Thank You Lord for the good works around the world and thank you all involved!
