Simon and Godfrey have reported the following from the mission field in Teso Region.
Kodeide Church of christ Kumi District still in Teso region hosted us for the passed two days that's from 23rd and 24th of March 2023.
We were welcomed by massive rain fall. Tent was pitched under the rain. To God be the glory, not even the rain could stop people from attending the evening preaching and teaching. Many people turned up for the open air and the movie, about 120 people were available.
Rain is too much here. As physical seeds are being planted in the soil, so are spiritual seeds being sowed in the community. We pray to the God of harvest to help in making them grow.
The challenges are the same, people are busy, rain is not giving them much time to be with us, moving to homes you find no one there. However, it did not hinder us from training the few who turned up.
Over 50 people have been trained how to make disciples who make other disciples using the simple tools. The 5parts/4 field overview and the Relational Map was done. With the Relational Map you would see people literally thinking about their friends who are far from God, probably those in the garden, and as they wrote their names down you would see others in the tent laughing because it feels like it is too difficult for those people to change.
When I did the 3 circles (Jesus's story) every one was humbled, they explained to me what is happening in the world, particularly there area and nothing was good. Is the world a better place for us? I asked. Noo, They all replied. Then I told them about it's brokenness and how it was before and then the salvation plan.
We went through it slowly slowly and people got it and promised to share with those in their Relational Map.
Immidiately after training, they asked some questions about baptism and brother Obwana Steven answered so well with the scriptures from the baptism hammer. To God be the glory, the 2days seminar ended so well.
