By God's grace, we arrived here in Kiryandongo District at Latwolo Church of Christ on 4/9/2023. We were warmly recieved by the brethren here.
This congregation is too young and they really needed our help to foster their Evangelism and Discipleship efforts. We have been able to train them how to use 4 Fields Discipleship Multiplication tools to effectively grow the members from being passive receivers to becoming Active believers. They enjoyed the simplicity of the tools.
We also modeled to them how to facilitate a high impact Bible study using Sword Method discovery Bible Study. They enjoyed practicing and as they discovered a lot from the scripture.
It's a season of captivating, people are too busy in their gardens but they squeezed time to come to the gospel meeting. We give God the glory for what is happening here. Keep praying for this young church.
Baptism Hammer, opened their eyes to the truth. One participant asked, were these people paying money for Baptism? We asked, where have you seen in the scripture that one paid money before one was baptized? He responded, I can't see it in the text, that's why I am wondering. We are surrounded by many churches asking us to pay money if we want our children to be baptized. I haven't seen in the text where a child was being baptized. We told him, you are absolutely right. Baptism is for those who believe, repent and confess by their mouth that Jesus is Lord. Many felt relieved after understanding Baptism Hammer.
We have done our part and the Lord will do the rest. 2000 have heard the Gospel both during day time and in the evenings. We trained 25 church members and few from the community. We are leaving for the next destination, we covet for your prayers.
