NIGERIA 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TRAINING REPORT FOR SOKOTO, SOKOTO STATE, NIGERIA.

When the call to go to Sokoto was made, we reluctantly accepted it bearing in mind the peculiar nature of the State because it is not only the bastion and seat of the Muslim Caliphate in Nigeria, but it also evokes fears in the minds of any visitor(s) because the State shares a common border with Zamfra State which is seriously embroiled in banditry.
To the glory of God, I am super excited to report that the trip to Sokoto was worth all the efforts and sacrifice(s). We were able to train brethren into becoming disciples and disciples makers that make disciples that multiply. Hallelujah!
The training was held at the Church of Christ, 2 Church Street, Off Offa Road, Old Airport, Sokoto South, Sokoto State, Nigeria
While the training has come and gone, the effect will reverberate for a long time. Amen.
Peter Egure (Elder), Osita Onuora and Abrotu Kennedy undertook the training. Let me add here that all three (3) Trainers surprisingly took ill during the 4 days training but the grace of God saw us through and we were able to complete the training successfully.
Beyond our expectations, we had very good attendance. We had the lowest attendance at 139, while the highest was 173.
We emphasised the need to effectively deploy the Relational Map, The Search for the Person of Peace, the 4-1-1 and the 3Gs to achieve God’s Vision and Mission in Sokoto State.
The brethren confessed that the training was an eye opener to them and they appreciated the 4 Fields tools that they have received and promised to be INTENTIONAL in their deployment of the tools they have learnt.
Indeed, the fire has been ignited. May it burn and spread as wildfire in Sokoto State and beyond, even into neighboring Niger Republic in Jesus name. Amen!
