NEPAL ROMOTE 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TRAINING IN SIMALTAR, RAPTI AND KAMLABAGAN.
Amen, Joseph Khati has reported the following.
Another successful gathering was held at Simaltar, Rapti Nepal, a remote location away from the hustle and bustle of the modern metropolis and its development.
Because of their dedication, our brothers Asit and Yam travelled to this mountain and completed the task that God assigned them with the 12 appropriate tools in their pockets.
I was thrilled to hear that they had a wonderful meeting, which was followed by the baptism of Sapna Praja a resident of the Simaltar, Rapti.
*PRAJA COMMUNITY*
Allow me to share some information with you about the Praja Community.
Praja is a Nepalese tribe that has been referred to as "the poorest of the poor" due to their extreme poverty.
Teenage pregnancies are prevalent, and are often forced. Praja men and women are fundamentally egalitarian, and there is no social standing in the same way as there is in Nepalese society's caste system. The lack of education beyond elementary school has resulted in many Praja being unable to read and write. These people are primarily concentrated in the districts of Dhading and Chitwan, as well as the districts of Gorkha and Makwanpur, Rapti and Tanahu, respectively.
Since at least the last two or three generations, the Chepang have begun to gradually transition from a seminomadic (slash-and-burn) lifestyle to a more stable way of life, relying more and more on the cultivation of permanent fields of maize, millet, and bananas as a source of income. Even to the date there are hundred and hundreds of Praja community people who live in the jungle and depend upon the jungle for their source of food.
Let's continue to pray for the work among these brethren so that we can be an ointment of relief to them both phsically and spiritually.
In His Service
