We met at 10:30am and started with praye., afterwhich we did self introduction and moved to MUTUAL TIME under 'GATHER'.
We shared our individual feelings together. It was interesting to determine the cocktail of feelings of happiness, tenderness, frustration, scariness, and meaninglessness among us. We assured each other about our various emotions and prayed about it.
Brother Emmanuel led us to the worship session of our gathering , where Sis Rose raised a song of praise and we all joined her. Sis Helena led us in prayer after the singing.
Brother Emmanuel read the scripture for the breaking of the bread Acts 20:7, followed by the wine, and prayed for both the bread and wine and told us that we should consider it served in our hearts as the scripture is being read.
He also read the scripture for giving (2Cor.9:6-9) as this is a command to us, as often as we meet.
Giving was also considered done.
Brother Emmanuel also taught us how to willingly make a pledge for our next session. He referred to it as a 'Loving Accountability' to the group. Everyone was able to understand it and we made our various accountabilities, in cleaning and setting up of the meeting area, inviting of other friends or relatives, provision of wine and bread, singing, and commtitment to the Church. Sis. Renell prayed for our voluntary pledges.
Finally, Sis Rose read the book of Philippians 4:8-9 and this was cast as a vision by Bro. Emmanuel, encouraging everyone to do what is just, worthy, lovely, honest, with virtue, as we had all learned together as disciples, and we should be able to live in peace with others till we meet again on Tuesday, at the same place and same hour.
He closed the group with a prayer, after which we agreed to take a group picture.
We decided to practice the sword method during the next session as the emotions were very strong and couldn't ignore them like that and go forward.
