KENYA GOSPEL CHARIOT MISSIONS AND 411 CHURCH PLANTING

Amen , Brother Opondo reported the following:

The Gospel Chariot Missions brought praises to our God for blessing Oyugis Cluster. The Oyugis Region Churches of Christ gathered at Ombek Church of Christ for a special meeting aimed at raising funds to rebuild a church that was demolished by a windstorm. Approximately 250 Christian adults and children attended the gathering to praise God and support the cause. The event provided an opportunity to introduce the missions of Gospel Chariot Missions to the attending churches and encourage them to contribute towards the church building project.

During the meeting, various aspects of the Gospel were emphasized. The attendees were encouraged to give generously, not just financially, but also in terms of their time and talents, to further the work of God. The keys to disciple making were preached, emphasizing the importance of spreading the teachings of Jesus and bringing people closer to God. It was a moment to inspire the congregation to embrace their role as followers of Christ and to actively share the message of salvation.

One significant outcome of the gathering was that one person accepted Christ as their Savior. This conversion is a testament to the impact of the event and the power of the Gospel. The organizers expressed their gratitude to the students of Rachuonyo Technical College, who actively participated in the meeting and contributed to its success.

The Gospel meeting took place on June 5, 2023, and that slightly more than eighty thousand shillings was collected. This falls short of the funds required for the rebuilding of the church house. What’s key now is prayers to our Almighty Father for all resource provision. This sum, combined with the contributions from willing individuals, will go towards rebuilding the church that was destroyed by the windstorm, providing a place for worship and spiritual growth for the local community.

Overall, the gathering at Ombek Church of Christ was a significant moment for the Oyugis Region Churches of Christ. It served as a reminder of the importance of coming together in times of need, supporting each other, and spreading the Gospel. The event not only aimed to rebuild a physical structure but also to strengthen the spiritual bonds within the community and bring people closer to God. God is praised!

Blessings, Tom Opondo.
