KENYA GOSPEL CHARIOT, GOSPEL SHARE AND 4 FIELDS DISCIPLE MULTIPLICATION MISSIONS
Amen , Brother Opondo reported the following:
I had the honor to be part of the move to protect and care for the African Child. This day has been well spent with African orphans and vulnerable children, teachers and guardians gathered at Dirubi.
The African Child Day (June 16th annually) celebrated at Dirubi Church of Christ is a significant nationwide event that aims to bring together various stakeholders in child care. It serves as a platform for key partners, including both state and non-state agencies, to collaborate and address issues related to the well-being and protection of children.
The event witnessed the participation of students and pupils from several educational institutions, including Agai High School, Katito Hope School, Dirubi Primary School, and Golf Course Orphanage. These children represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, making the occasion even more meaningful.
The highlight of the celebration was the presence of a distinguished guest of honor, who expressed gratitude to the Child Protection office and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for their dedicated efforts in the five sub-counties of Nyakach. Their support and contributions in the field of child protection and welfare have undoubtedly made a positive impact on the lives of many children within the region.
This event serves as a reminder of the importance of safeguarding the rights of African children and ensuring their overall well-being. It not only provides a platform for collaboration among various agencies but also raises awareness about the challenges faced by children in the region and the collective responsibility to address them.
Through initiatives like the African Child Day celebration, communities can come together to promote child rights, protection, and education. It serves as a reminder of the potential and significance of every child and the collective effort required to create a nurturing and supportive environment for them to thrive.
Lucas Oguta, Willis Othim and I grabbed the moment by sharing disciple making tools. Wow! Thanks to our good Lord softening the hearts of these little ones to open for Jesus Christ. Amen
Blessings, Tom Opondo.
