GHANA TOGO MISSION TEAM WITH THE 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TOOLS IN THE HARVEST
Amen , Brother Charles reported the following:
WE DO FACE SERIOUS OPPOSITION AND REJECTIONS TOO
”This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.” And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas. But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people” (Acts 17:3-5, NKJV).
We started the day with 3 teams headed to Guerin Kouka to train the leaders among the newly baptized from the communities, while 3 teams headed to the Bassar area to try and win 6 different communities within the same proximity for Christ.
The gospel was very well received by lots of the people at all 3 places that each of the teams worked. When we got them into the buses was when the problem started. Each of these places had a caretaker chief leading at that moment because, the chiefs were in a meeting somewhere.
Each of the caretaker chiefs opposed the people going for baptism at the same time in all 3 places. Meanwhile the people were ready to give their lives to Christ, so it almost turned into an uproar. We advised the people to pray and be in touch, and that we’ll see them again. Interestingly, when each team got off the scene and called the other teams to enquire about how their day had been, it turned out all 3 teams had encountered the same problem of opposition from community leaders. We then encouraged ourselves and went to each of our second communities. In 2 of the communities, the people were excited about the simple gospel message. However, they each postponed their baptism to another time. The third community, however, had 10 people say YES! to the gospel and put on Christ in Baptism. With the Training Seminar teams, the went through the same program as we did for the leaders around the Manémakou and Atakpame areas. Two of the teams later ventured into a new community in Guerin Kouka area and Baptized 18 and 55 respectively. In all we had 83 Baptisms for the day with 2 new congregations. Bringing our total to 1,067 Baptisms with 31 new congregations by the grace of God. We traveled through the night to Atakpame and arrived safely by God’s grace. We’re ready to enter new communities around Atakpame this morning and as always, we covet your prayers.
Thank God for all who are involved and the continuous expansion of the Kingdom through the collective effort of the 4 Fields Discipleship Multiplication across the globe .
Amen Ghana - Togo Team. Wow! What a great mission trip you have in those communities as God continues working mightily in and through You all. Those communities are really on fire for Jesus.
