ITS ALL ABOUT GOD AND NONE ABOUT US!
DAY 6
God proved that it’s all about HIM and none about us yesterday, being our 6th day on the field and in the Guerin Kouka area.
The weather changed all of a sudden from a bright sunny day to thick clouds as early as 5:30am. It was a Market Day in the villages around, so our plan was to leave at 6:00am and get the people around 8:00am before they go to the Market.
We finally set off at 6:30am after few contemplations from some of us. But the leaders were so resolute in their decision for us to Go… no matter what.
The Master has commanded us to Go… so Rainy or Sunny day, all we need to do is to Go…
About 20 minutes after we set off, the heavy rains began. We had been encouraged so we kept on singing on the bus and the 2 hours seemed to have come too quickly.
In spite of the rains, we divided ourselves into our usual groups and headed to our assigned villages. Our presence surprised most of the people, that we’d defy the rains and still come to them.
As we waited patiently in our cars for the rains to stop, I guess the people were also planning where to host us. You know we had mostly met under trees.
The rains stopped around 11:30am and we were led to schools around. We used the classrooms where they were available. Other groups met under trees as usual.
*At the close of day, God blessed our effort with 633 Baptisms and 8 new congregations. This brings our Total in 6 days to 1,314 Baptisms with 25 new Congregations.*
I am sure God used the rains to keep the people from going to the Farm and Market. He gave us our biggest harvest on this trip even amidst the heavy downpour.
The Lesson we have learned as a Team is that, ‘It’s all about God and none about us!’
He says we should Go and that’s all we must do. No ‘questions’, No ‘buts’ and No ‘what ifs’
Just Go…
