THE ACCRA TEAM IN ACTION
TWO TRAINING SESSIONS WITHIN ONE WEEK, BOTH IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTRY
1. The first training session took place at Naamu near Salaga in the Savana Region of Ghana .
The four member team led by Brother Charles Odoi, Solomon Mireku, Job Tilabi and Samuel Kelvin Cobbinah, the Driver receiving Training on the road.
We traveled over 600km, crossing the Oti River at Dambai with the Ferry and traveling for another 80km before reaching our destination at Salaga, where we lodged for the work in Naamu.
We started the trip on Monday and journey for about 10 hours.
The training started on Tuesday morning. There were 54 Participants from 9 congregations, which included Preachers, Leaders and other members on the first day.
Participants were so excited when Charles led the Devotion with Matthew 28:18-20, using the Sword Method. After Solomon brutalized the Brutal Facts on the ground, the people became very sad and started as was seen during the Gather the following morning. During the Overview, we assured them of simple Tools to inspire evangelism, that can reverse the huge problem of lostness in the area.
The number of participants increased to 68 from 13 congregations on the second day. Robert Hartman is an American Missionary at Salaga. He heard about the Training and joined us with his Team on the second day. He has invited us to come over and train the church at his place and other villages since we couldn’t Train in all the Tools.
We did much Practice on the second day and it was very exciting as the young ones among them and women did the practice with ease.
At the end of the two days training session, members promised to use the simple tools to help expand the kingdom.
While some expressed their excitement with the tools like the Relational Map, MY Story
Jesus Story in 3 Circles and the Baptism Hammer. Others were also saddened by the brutality of the facts on the ground concerning lostness. They said they had now understood the Vision of God concerning the salvation of the people in their locality, and promised to work harder to win some from the fire .
The team then left there and travelled to 200 km to Yendi to train the Preachers and leaders there.
