GHANA 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TEAMS AND WEST AFRICAN WORKSHOP 1
GHANA 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP MULTIPLICATION TEAMS AND WEST AFRICAN WORKSHOP 1
Amen, Charles Odoi has reported the following
The first West African 4 Fields Discipleship Multiplication workshop successfully took place at Sogakope, in the Volta Region on Saturday, May 28, 2022, from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
We had 37 Trainers from Ghana, Togo and Nigeria, and the Driver who brought the Accra Team, making 38 in attendance. We had Brother Osita Onuora representing Nigeria , 11 Trainers from Togo , and 26 Trainers from the Eastern, Ahafo, Greater Accra, Oti and the Eastern Regions of Ghana.
Traveling from far, the Teams arrived early for Breakfast before the Workshop commenced. We were Hosted by Brother Godson Gakpetor, the preacher for the Sogakope congregation, with support from Brother John Morkli, the leader of the Volta Team.
Having discussed the modalities earlier with Brother George Akpabli, who is in Benin to assist with work before the Graduation of Students at the Bible College, I led as the main facilitator of the workshop, with assistance from Brothers Solomon, Desire and Osita.
Participants were taken through some of the Tools in a Simple way as they Reproduced them as Groups together. For instance, I used two and half minutes to do the Jesus’ Story in 3 Circles to the amazement of all present. Brothers Solomon, Desire and Osita presented some of these Tools in the way we know and do them previously for the sake of clarity. I therefore explained the difference to them, and stressed that, we should maintain how we have been doing it with much emphasis on reading the Scriptures, allow our Trainees to discover for themselves and then discuss further for better understanding. I also emphasized the need to then go over with the Simple way of presenting the Tool and guide our Trainees as Groups to Reproduce it.
Interestingly, since we involved the Driver we hired from Accra (Frank), and knowing he isn’t a member of the church, Brother Osita focused his attention on him while presenting the Jesus’ Story in 3 Circles. By the grace of God, the Driver was fed up with living in the Broken World. He therefore called for help to leave the Broken World into the Kingdom. He was Baptized, and we’re in the process of connecting him to the Odorkor church, where I previously served as the Preacher. He lives close by.
The highlights for the day were the Brutal Facts and the 3/3s Method. We made the participants See and Feel how brutal the Brutal Facts are in and around Sogakope and the entire world. This motivated all of them as they expressed that they were fired up to go and do more than they were already doing.
Before the 3/3s was presented, I took the participants through what I call ‘Practical Multiplication Model’. I made everyone picture the 4 Fields on the ground in the on the room. As I used the conventional way to bring people to Christ, it was not yielding much fruit because I did all the work as the Preacher, while the new believers sit and watch.
However, as I started using the 3/3s Method to make Disciples that make other Disciples with the Tools, within a short period, all the participants had become Disciples of Christ and there was no one or no place left. Everyone was excited and thrilled as they went into the state of ecstasy. I then explained the 3/3s Method and made everyone see how we have under-utilized it. The participants showed lots of interest and expressed the willingness to go back and form their own Groups and Train them in the Tools, Practice the 3/3s with them and release them to go and create their own Groups.
Unfortunately, we were only able to reach the Seeded Field, besides the highlights of the day. Participants expressed the need to meet again soon and continue to the Leadership Field. Most of them were of the view that we should have been camped for 3 days for this important and eye-opener Workshop.
Thank God for all who are involved and the continuous expansion of the Ghana work that has also overwhelmed other countries.
Amen Charles. Thank You Lord and thank you all involved.
