GHANA 4 FIELDS DISCIPLESHIP AND CHURCH MULTIPLICATION TRAINING IN YENDI AND TAMALE (March 6-12)

Amen, Charles Odoi has reported the following

It feels so fulfilling when the training objectives begin to happen immediately after the Training.

The Ghana Team, comprising of Charles, Solomon and Job, traveled from Accra to 2 major cities in the Northern Region of Ghana - Yendi (March 6-9) and Tamale (March 9-12). Our aim was:

1. To Equip Brothers Andrews Alhassan - Yendi, George Dassah - Tamale and Francis Afrifa-Konadu, Director of Training for the Churches of Christ and fire them up to multiply Disciples in those Muslim dominated areas and beyond

2. Get some of the preachers and leaders working with them around these areas to become disciples who multiply other disciples for the Master.

The Tamale church was established in 1971 and Yendi 1982. Each of these have membership not exceeding 150. The Christian population in each of these areas is 10%, with the rest being Muslims and Traditionalists.

This explains why these preachers, together with Francis, were invited to the African 4 Fields Discipleship Conference in December, 2021. However, not much has been seen of them after the conference. Hence, the decision to take the Training there. This training really sinks in after a second and third touch.

We encouraged all three of them to join us to Train their people. They all embraced the opportunity and joined us to train with just a little help.

They all confirmed that going through the Training for the second time has been of immense benefit and an empowerment to them.

Immediately after the 3-days Training in Yendi, some of the participants took the tools to the nearby communities and 2 Baptisms were assured of happening on Sunday. However, the husbands of both of them refused to allow their wives to get baptized. Your prayers are needed in this regard.

Also, after doing 2 out of the 4-nights Training with us in Tamale, Brother Francis left us and traveled to Nkwanta in the Oti Region to meet some of his leaders there. He has started Training them in the 4 Fields Discipleship Multiplication model. And the report is that, they are also excited and wondering why their leader didn't Train them with these simple Tools all along.

Some of the Participants have also gone to various communities and drawing Jesus’ Story in 3 Circles on the floor to teach the gospel.
