In order to reach our villages in the province of North Kivu, trips are undertaken by our team: Charles and Patrick traveled to Kiwanja (73 Km from Goma) and Kanya Bayonga (150 Km from Goma) to evangelize. As Kiwanja is closer to Goma than Kanya Bayonga, the team preferred to start at Kanya Bayonga to come finish at Kiwanja. As soon as they arrived, they were welcomed into a certain house where unfortunately the owner had not fulfilled the criteria of a woman of peace: she welcomed the evangelists but she did not receive the message for fear of being rejected by her denominational Pastor. Let me mention that Kanya Bayonga is a small village where almost everyone knows each other...each leader finds his followers in his tribe and controls them... To penetrate a new doctrine requires great patience and hard work...
While Charles and Patrick at Kanya Bayonga, they met a serious opposition not only from the woman who received them, but also from others local denominational leaders. The woman had seriously resisted them, she made sure no meeting is taking place in her yard.... When the team sees that things are becoming tough, they decided, as Paul was taken to the Areopagus (Acts 17:19), to go to the public places and streets to preach the Gospel. As you can see in the photos, they went with a poster where 3 Circles is correctly drawn, its impact was considerable. As the result of this effort, 3 souls were won for the Lord. Glory be to God! After baptisms and some sessions of training for newly believers, the team decided to move to Kiwanja, hoping to return there in the near future...
On the way back, they went through Kiwanja where they met with some individuals who benefited from the teachings without responding to the Gospel call...but we will have to go there a little later to do the follow-up... Please continue to pray for the effort so that this new group may be maintained and grow...
