BRIEF REPORT FROM MONDAY’S WEEKLY TRAINING FOR WEST AFRICA L 3 TRAINERS
AUGUST 26Th, 2024
Brother DeGraft had forwarded the report of Brother Ebenezer stating the following:
As usual, our weekly training took place and wasHosted by Doc. Akpabli. Bro. Eric Otoo, who served as the Facilitator declared the meeting opened at 6:02 pm (GMT) with about 8 members present. Dr. George Akpabli offered the opening prayer.
GATHER
The Facilitator, after welcoming participants invited Bro. Lawrence Lamptey to lead Gather. He requested trainers to share their highs and lows in respect of mutual time. Prayers were offered by Bro. Solomon Mireku and Paul Maanoh, after some members had shared their emotions. During a brief worship period, Bro. Lamptey sang a beautiful song: »Blest Be The Tie… » As regards Loving Accountability, Bros. Charles Odoi (currently in Toronto, Canada for Mission work) Solomon Mireku amongst others responded positively with what they were able to do during the past week.
CASTING OF VISION
Bro. Paul Maanoh exhorted trainers to align ourselves to the vision of God, indicating, this is what we’re called to do. He went on to say that we need to plan our activities and ensure strict compliance, continuing that this challenge should be accepted by all. He did not, however, quote any specific text or scripture.
GROW
Since Bros. Kennedy Abrotu and Isaac Dey Jnr, who were originally scheduled to lead were absent, the Facilitator requested a volunteer to step in. Bro. Solomon Mireku accepted the challenge and immediately navigated trainers through the Scripture: Acts 21:17-40 for individual trainers to make their own discoveries; using the Sword Method. The scripture was read by Bros. Worlanyo Bor, who read from VRs 17-33 and Ebenezer TUFFOUR continuing from VRs 34-40. Thereafter, various interesting discoveries were made, but the pace was rather slow. I Will Statements then followed before the session came to a successful conclusion.
GO
Again, the Facilitator called upon Bro. Worlanyo Bor to lead trainers through GO. The tool for practice wan the Left Hand Guide to a Church Start. This was excellently executed.
SETTING OF GOALS
Again, Bros. Stephen Osei and Job Tilabi were absent to set goals. The Facilitator invited a volunteer and Dr. Biodun Owolabi stepped in. He reminded trainers to plan our weekly activities relying on our Relational Map, which has been his regular practice. In that regard, we should know with certainty, who we’re to pray for, share the gospel with, training small groups using the 411 and so on with the view of establishing other congregations.
COMMENTS : During comments time, Bros. Solomon Mireku and Charles Odoi expressed their joy with the manner in which Dr. Owolabi handled the goal setting, using his own example and said it would be helpful if the rest of us could follow same.
