Southern Africa Update - First Quarter 2020

Hi Everyone,

How things can change in a matter of one month! Brethren we are living in trying times and you are in our prayers in the USA. We need your continued prayers as well, because we are all in this together. South Africa is in lockdown with the police on the streets. Borders are closing all over the African continent and that means all our Gospel Chariots are off the roads. We are saddened by this, but know God is in control.

I have returned from South Africa and Uganda and am now in Perth, Australia under lockdown as well. As Ria mentioned yesterday, nothing has changed in her life, because she is usually under lockdown doing administration for the work, ha ha and thats true, we are glorified administrators, but we are blessed to be able to do it. PLEASE pray for us as we navigate this storm and who knows what the outcome will be in Africa regarding the virus. That said, our prayers are with you all in the USA as you get to flattening that curve in the next month.

Brethren, you know I have been teaching and encouraging house church planting now for the last 6 years and the last 2 years multiplication disciple making using the four fields training and you can see below our amazing training taking place in South Africa and Uganda just a month ago. I cannot explain it, but was God preparing me and the team FOR SUCH A TIME LIKE THIS?

Africa is ready and has a population explosion like no other continent and God’s dream and our dream for Africa is that they worship in every village, under every tree, in every house and every space and place in their villages and cities. We live in trying times but some of the most exciting times when it comes to sharing the gospel and especially when this is over.

Have a look below at the amazing start of the year we had until the virus broke out. God is Good and will continue, but on His timing. Lets pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, pray. Love you all and cannot thank you enough for working with us. Stay safe and stay home as much as you can. This too will pass. In Him we Trust and in Him we Believe.

Below shows the 4 day 4 fields intensive discipleship training that took place in Pretoria, South Africa. It is where we teach leaders how to multiply disciples and churches everywhere. We brought Gospel Chariot leaders down from a number of African countries to be with us and be trained up and it was FANTASTIC, but that is nothing, a number of us then flew up to Uganda and did the 4 day 4 fields training there as well, with 120 attending there. See below the South African training. God is good.

Congo DRC

Paul Lulacha who came down from Congo for our 4 day four fields discipleship training is back home and what a learner and now teacher, he is. He is back teaching others on how to multiply disciples and churches everywhere. Paul has reported the following on the 28th of March:

For the first time ever and in a large audience, Baraka has been
blessed by an unimaginable seminar on ”Making disciples of all nations.”

The Seminar lasted three days, but the impact was considerably enormous in view of the testimonies of the participants and the
feedback we are receiving after the seminar. Praise be to God!

The Siloam group welcomed us in Baraka, eastern part of the D.R. Congo and availed their place for the seminar.

The first day was more significant: 70 people participated, the meeting was opened with a prayer after then, a presentation of each
participant. As the subject was to ”Make disciples of all nations”,
we had firstly defined what a disciple is. After, we had a study on “Genesis to Revelation”, ”Brutal facts”, ”Overview on the four
fields”, and ” Introduction of the first Field (Entry)”. We concluded the day with this first field where people understood what
are Oikos map and the Man of Peace.

With 67 participants, the second day was covered by studies on ”The second field (Gospel)” and “The third field (Discipleship)”. The techniques such as ”15 minutes of testimony”, ”3 circles”, “411”, ”3 / 3 s”, were used to explain the two fields.

On the last day, 66 participated to the seminar, and the techniques
such as ”Church Circle”, ”Left Hand Guid to a church start” Baptism hammer”, allowed us to elucidate the fourth field. Towards the end, we had demonstrated the ”Five leadership levels” which gave full satisfaction to the participants.

The material was greatly appreciated, several questions of interest had been asked and answered for clarification. Interviews were
conducted during which several testimonies were heard and reassured us of the good impact of the seminar. People resolved to take the mission and promised to come back to us for more directives. According to the feedback we are receiving, some baptism pictures will be sent to us shortly just the prove the level of commitment of the participants.

DISCIPLE MAKING AND CHURCH MULTIPLICATION SEMINAR IN LESOTHO ON THE 13TH OF MARCH.

On the 9th of March, Bongani Mabena traveled into 5 villages encouraging and motivating people of peace, meaning God prepared people who love God and want to serve him in their place and village. 8 souls were baptized into Christ.

On the 2nd of March, Bongani has reported back from Port Elizibeth that God is working in the region where they had a combined and some teaching on disciple making and discussions about planting a new church.

MULTIPLYING DISCIPLES AND CHURCHES EVERYWHERE

So good to hear from Bongani. Bongani is so excited about the disciple making movement that he is involved in and him releasing and equipping others.

How beautiful is that and it does not come easy. He is being intentional in seeing an empty field, sharing the gospel, disciplining them and now getting them to gather. That is the 4 fields, the empty field, seeded field, growing field and the harvest field and the beautiful thing is, they are now being equipped to share the gospel with others and not just gather together.

Let’s pray for Bongani and all those sharing and equipping others to equip others. 2 Tim 2:2.

Nambia

Below shows thousands of World Bibles School bibles with clothing for the poor being shipped and arriving in Tsumeb Namibia from Australia on the 28th of March.

Zimbabwe

The following was reported on the 12th of March:

We are so blessed to be able to help some with the situation in Zimbabwe. Last year we managed to ship a container with clothing and bibles and this year, with our Parks partners we are distributing tons for food through our mission in Zimbabwe. We are also in the process of building a church mission base in Beitbridge.

We love Zimbabwe and pray God continues to help us help them in this time of need.

In February we managed to bring a number of Zimbabweans to Pretoria for disciple making training and will continue to help in this way. Johnathon Chuma Nkutika is our man on the ground.

Malawi

Below shows Limbikani orphanage in Mzuzu getting clothes from the shipping container shipped from Perth on the 24th of January, also bibles being distributed. We have been asked to work with Healing Hands as they drill more than 40 water wells. They have asked us to have gospel meetings in the same areas and try do it at the same time as they drill. Makes sense to me, God loves it when we work together. As I like to say, we don’t compete, but complete or complement other works.

World Bible School

It was a blessing this day (26th of March) as we witnessed the baptism of Jovian Ina Pule (1419255). She is our WBS online student, through her God is opening an opportunity and door for Discipleship movement in Burgersfort.

Mabena will take over the opportunity when the chariot take off into the region in the near futures, possibly after the end of 21 days lock-down.

We have received 7 students thus far (as of February), still waiting for others who are on the way. Discipleship have started.

The four standing with us are the results of World Bible School connections. Praise God.

GREAT THREE DAYS OF MID LEVEL DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING IN MELBOURNE

Never too old to learn! God has been so good to me. For the last 6 years I have been encouraging house church gatherings and the last two years discipleship multiplication and you put the two together with the teachings of Jesus and the early church and you have a Jesus movement that no one can stop.

Thanks to my discipleship friends all over the world who have spoken into my life and ministry and helped me get unstuck.

HOUSE CHURCH GET TOGETHER IN PERTH ON THE 23RD OF FEBRUARY.

Wow, God is working as we encourage simple church, unity and the multiplication of disciples and churches everywhere. Every three months some of our house churches and disciple making leaders get together.

Below shows our third get together and it’s getting better and better as we encourage all efforts and enter empty fields around us using the 4 fields biblical discipleship tools. God is up to something.
